That’s why you search
For order in the chaos
And though quite blind,
You know you’ll find
Some order in the chaos
You seek out others who can teach
You so that you can reach
Some order in the chaos
When the ground’s uneven beneath your feet,
Keep stumbling, you can’t help but meet
The order in the chaos
It isn’t some elusive dream-
If you drink enough milk- you’ll get to the cream
That’s order in the chaos
Into the patterned substrate you
Will stare, until it melts into view
That’s order in the chaos
It’s the textured curtains of a childhood room
The wallpaper in the midnight gloom
There’s order in the chaos
The broody storm clouds squat above
The unexpected thrill of love
That’s order in the chaos
And though there will be boundary days
You navigate the painful maze
To find order in the chaos
For walls and gullies are both clues
As are colours, shapes and hues
For finding order in the chaos.
And when you find it, you can rest
Until you need to leave the nest
And seek more order
In
The
Chaos.
