While scattered shadows fall on the forest floor
I wander while dreaming of times gone by
Could I have, should I have done much more?
I know that it’s enough that I really did try
My life full of dark secrets and of broken promises
Of precious moments lost and of desperate pleas
I fondly remember the stolen kisses
And look back on days feeling the cool breeze
I look to the skies and see a future
Of wondrous adventures and dreams inspired

Is life better on the other side?
The grass is greener,
Everything seems sweeter
Can you tell me about the other side?
Is your life easier?
Do you feel better?
I really am not sure about the other side
Can I be any happier?
Or would things get crazier? (more…)
From the first time i walked into a library at a very young age, the written word has enthralled me! There is nothing like putting on some good music & losing myself in fantasy worlds.
It wasn’t until high school that i wrote my first poem. For the next few years I wrote plenty, but never shared them. When I moved to Port Elizabeth, I lost my way and never wrote another poem, until i met my muse, Tash, who i started writing poems for. I have regained my love of poetry in the process for which i really thank her. And thanks to the Poetry Project for being my first outlet to share my written words.
